Acquisition of Bison Bede Stairlifts
Acorn Stairlifts have acquired rival competitor
Bison Bede Stairlifts. The Bison Bede stairlift company had a
firm holding on the UK stairlift market. Bison produced Straight
and Curved stairlifts. Straight stairlifts include the Bison Classic
stairlifts, Compact stairlifts and the new Compact 80 stairlifts
Curved stairlifts included the DC Contour stairlift range
Acorn stairlifts who promintly produced the straight super glide
stairlifts have recently introduced their own curved stairlift
The Acorn 80. They now have both options of supplying Acorn &
Bison curved stairlifts allowing a larger range of stairlift products
to their customers. Would be nice if Acorn continued with the
production of the Bison classic stairlift as this unit was robust
and easy to service and maintain
Bison Bede stairlifts also produced the Lotus Bath-lift which
also came in the Acquisition package allowing Acorn Stairlifts
to add another string to its bow. Acorn have been supplying stairlifts
to the UK market for over 15 years without doubt they must now
be a major player in the UK Stairlift industry
